Title Deed Transactions for Companies, Foundations and Associations

Updating title deeds after a company’s trade name change, and the authorisation documents needed for title deed transactions by foundations and associations in Turkey.

Last updated: · RE/MAX İDA

In title deed transactions on behalf of legal entities, it must be documented that the person carrying out the transaction is authorised to represent the organisation. These documents are obtained from different places depending on the type of organisation.

Companies

For transactions on behalf of companies, current authorisation documents are obtained through MERSİS, Turkey’s central trade registry system. When a company’s trade name changes, an application is made to the land registry to update the title deed records of its properties to the new name.

Foundations, associations and unions

For properties belonging to foundations, transactions are carried out with an authorisation document from the Regional Directorate of Foundations; for associations and unions, with an authorisation document from the district or provincial governorship they are registered with.

Corporate buyers in commercial property

When buying or selling commercial properties such as offices, warehouses or hotels, we plan the corporate parties’ document preparation early. See our commercial property page for details.
