Rental demand in Çanakkale stays strong all year thanks to students, public employees and families moving to the city. Even so, agreeing on the right terms with the right tenant is your best long-term protection.
Set a realistic rent
The rents of comparable apartments in the area, whether the home is furnished, the facilities of the complex and access to transport are the main factors that determine the rent. A realistic price shortens the time your home stays empty.
Choosing a tenant
The candidate’s employment and income, references and guarantor options should be assessed carefully.
Written agreement and handover report
The rent, increase terms, duration, deposit, service charges and who pays which costs should be clearly stated in the agreement. A handover report supported by photos of the fixtures and the condition of the home prevents possible disputes.
Keep up with the legislation
Rent increases and evictions are subject to the relevant legislation, which may change from time to time. We recommend getting expert support on the current rules.
